Huehuetenango is both a city and a municipality in the highlands of western Guatemala. The name 'Huehuetenango' means place of the ancients (or ancestors) in the Mayan language of Nahuatl, and this area is indeed rich in ancient culture, but also rich in coffee growing and cultivation.

Farmers from the coops incorporate sustainable farming practices such as shade management, soil fertilization, and use of compost. The particular aromas and tastes of this coffee derive from the careful processing, selection and washing of their beans. This coffee is Fair Trade Certified and Organic.

Cupping Notes:

Citrus & floral aroma, full-bodied, notes of sweet blackberry. / Medium Roast.
