This is a washed coffee from the Western highlands of Oromia, Ethiopia. These beans are harvested red from the tree and pulped quite soon after. Once they are collected they are fermented in water for a few hours and then washed to remove all impurities. Beans are then left to dry on the sun on drying beds.
This coffee, one of three offerings we have from Ethiopia, stands distinct among the rest with a honey sweetness and floral aroma. This is also one of three main components to our Quixote Espresso Blend.
